Okay, I'll "go there" (none of us are are inhibited by Godwin's Law thanks to Trump) and suggest the following.

If Hitler, during the mid-thirties, announced to the world that he planned to invade and subjugate Europe, Endland, and Russian as part of his 1000 Year Reich and initiate the Holocaust to wipe out Jewery, I'd like believe the world would have taken him more seriously than it did. Maybe FDR wouldn't have kept the United States out of the war because of isolationist sentiment until Pearl Harbor and millions of lives would have been spared.

While Trump denied that he knew anything about Project 2025 his actions show that he aspires to be a ruthless dictator- king is too kind a word unless you want to liken him to Henry VIII or the less known King Leopold II of Belgium and Æthelred the Unready.

If Trump lacked empathy it would be bad enough. He gets off on inflicting pain on others. This is sadism. We know what he has in his mind. He's asked about shooting migrants trying to cross the Rio Grande below the waist. Of course with assualt rifles these wounds would often be lethal.

THis is kind of brutality is in Trump's mind. Listen up, Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, when you shoot at the police wearing body armor, this is where to aim. (As an aside, police will be shooting back and if they try this Trump can't pardon them if they break state laws - at least not yet.)

Rather than saying Trump aspires to be king among the other actual title for rulers to use besides this are emperor and tsar (or czar). I like the latter because of the Russian connection. I'm thinking of Ivan the Terrible, the first man to rule all of Russia as tsar. If we start to say Trump wants to be a tsar we can begin to call him Tsar Trump the Terrible. Unfortunately this is not a three word alliteration because of the soft T sound in tsar, but it does have a menacing ring to it.

(I think I'll use this for my Substack today.)

Love Czar Trump! if we say it loud and often enough, maga will eventually figure out what we're saying. agreed, king sounds too legit. but I needed a descriptive title. also, I agree that he's got a deep sadism running through his brain. I consider trump nearly the worst thing America has ever done, and we've done some awful things.

I am glad you like the designation. Once I wrote the comment I added a little to it and made an illustration and ended up turning it into my Substack for today. There's a link to Haake Take of course. https://halbrown.substack.com/p/get-ready-for-tsar-trump-the-terrible

Previous presidents have pardoned in their final days in office. Trump has released violent criminals on "day one". This gives plenty of launch opportunity for future violence. Republicans will reap what they've sown. It will get worse!

I see that Senators Murkowski and Collins have declared they will vote against SecDef-nominee Hegseth. Two more nay's are needed to defeat him. If you have a Republican senator, I urge you to lobby them to vote against that violent drunken playboy! Senators are terrified, and need to hear from their constituents! Show your support and deep concern. ~eric. MeridaGOround.com

And this is how Hitler began his reign , unfortunately Americans did not learn any lessons from WWII at all, Trump not has his Brownshirts and is looking to promote his doctrine in schools, it is much too late for any American to do anything, as they will be arrested and interned in American Gulag camps with out any chance to speak

Thanks, Sabrina, for another passionate, well thought-out and well written post. I knew within months of the DOJ/FBI cowards not arresting and holding Our Mad King (wannabe) Donald the 1st for a charge of "insurrection" or "sedition" on Jan 21st, 2021, that the game was over, and, then, they let him continue to run his "alternative" Federal government from his palatial FLA WH. Game over. Have a blessed day!

Republicans are proving to be despicable cowards afraid of the toothless tiger who makes them shit on themselves when he yells boo—forgetting that taking an oath to preserve and defend the Constitution would require heroism and dedication, not obfuscation of their role. Citizens were sure that Republicans would provide a guardrail to stop Trump from instituting his madness. Instead, they have joined Trump to perpetrate his madness out of equal insanity or cowardice. Cowardice is for the meek, whose place is in the shadows, to weep, avoid confrontations, and let others fight—knowing that you don’t take the place of the strong. Now, we are faced with violence to preserve Democracy; diplomatic means won’t do. Call it a civil war or revolution; it will be upon us, and will we turn into cowardly sheep? Decades ago, Ernesto “Che” Guevera, a prominent figure in the Cuban Revolution, coined the phrase, “The duty of a revolutionary is to create the revolution.” No one ever thought the phrase would be a rallying cry in America in an attempt to save our democracy. But we must consider that sentiment to guide us as long as Republican cowards are giving Donald Trump stewardship over our freedom. History has many lessons, and this is one for the ages.

I totally agree- trump has been gunning for a civil war from the beginning, just bc he wants to see stuff go boom in his name. pretty sure he gets a boner every time he watches north korea’s military parades complete with goose-stepping. We’ve given the nuclear codes to a sadistic child- god help us. As for some racists in the south, they never stopped fighting the civil war.

I also agree the gop is full of fear, they don’t know what to do so they’re folding in cowardice and trying to present a confident and smiling face to the public. It will backfire eventually but will have to reach an extreme level first, so extreme even fox and brietbart, etc.,cover it fairly.

I also agree violence is coming, and that it’s necessary. it could not be more obvious that trump is planning attacks on US soil; every other day republicans are talking about a “national emergency” so they can call up the national guard and deploy the military on US soil. I think it’s time for dems and moderates to get aggressive; I’m thinking maybe when the gop denies FEMA aid to a burning or flooded blue state, and people die as a direct result, will be the time.

I hope I’m around for the reconstruction. I’ll be a fuck of a lot more punitive than they were back then; we never should have forgiven their war debts or let them hold office again. When you let insurrectionists pass/ show them mercy, you’re asking them to do it again.

What truly bothers me in this discussion are guns. I advocate gun control because of the tragedies they have caused. But now, in the face of potential indiscriminate violence, we can't leave targets of violence defenseless; it shows, as time goes by, how complex all of this is becoming.

Yep agree totally about the premeditated recruitment drive, same as the musk nazi salute was a message to the ‘base’, and the ‘stand down, stand ready’ (or whatever it was), to the sad boys; it’s happening - America does seem to be going toward dictatorship / rule by fear, trump’s dream of beating Putin at his own game comes true. not sure how the maga crowd can be lead to an understanding of how bad this is, maybe musk will become so obviously an unelected dark overload, which he seems to aspire to become, people will revolt, but maybe a dark world order is upon us. The joke ironic joke is maga thought they were voting to stop a deep state dark order, but instead voted dark maga in🧐however, sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better, and we don’t need to throw the baby out with the bath water

Jesus, Sabrina, I don't know what to say.

"In an effort to downplay legislative and judicial authority over him, Trump has already removed the Constitution pages from the White House website, removing all pages that explained how the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches are co-equal within a meticulously guarded separation of powers framework."

What're Roberts and his buddies going to do now? What's the Republican Party going to do now? What are the billionaires going to do now? Aren't they out of options? Based on this, California must secede.

Hmmm, the propaganda is thick here. Yes Trump pardoned the j6 protesters. You just ignore all the facts and what has been happening during the past 10 years. How many streets has Trump renamed for the j6 crowd? None! How many monuments has Trump erected for them? Again none! Is Washington DC in ruins with burned out & destroyed buildings everywhere? No! Did wide spread looting occur during the event? No! But all of this happened during the BLM/Antifa riots! No need to pardoned any of those BLM or Antifa people committing criminal acts because they was not charged for their crimes despite the widespread destruction they caused. But oh yes the j6 crowd challenged the elite liberals in government not the working people so they must be punished with 20 years in prison while the BLM people never charged just got to go on a shopping spree without having to pay for anything. You are sick!

Now as if We weren't all waiting for the Other boot to drop, more than one of the Jan 6th goons has been rearrested, and trump has now made an even More inane pen stroke. Declaring if Any member of Congress disagreed with or voted against something trump wanted to happen or Pass, they would be guilty of a Felony and said Felony would be denoted on their Record! you're taking a lot of license from an election trump barely won. (trump 49%, Harris 48%, and nearly 40% of the adult population didn't vote at all.). I'll stop here bc you won't accept basic math. 1% is not a mandate, no matter how often the felon in chief claims it is. but do carry on and tell me all about what the left gets wrong.
