I’m usually glued to the TV when a president, sitting justices, and members of Congress come together in one room—separate branches in one hallowed space, a time capsule played forward from men in powdered wigs.
Since Trump’s debate with Hilary Clinton I’ve followed his behavior. It has never been Presidential always more like a dictator, has increased and is now worse than ever. I’ve never heard so many lies from a person in his position in all the 60 years that I have voted - Trump can’t talk without a lie. I had no doubt his SOTU would contain any professionalism or make sense and really I can’t stand to listen to him so knowing what would not really be the SOTU I didn’t watch. I’ve heard of the breathing exercises, but honestly we need so much more help!
I have been researching an issue and there were some wild ideas out here including civil war. The issue is what happens if Trump cancels the midterm elections this year. I know that legally Trump can't. I know that SCOTUS would have a flood of emergency motions. But Trump has shown he doesn't care what the courts think. If the court rules against him the enforcement would fall on the DOJ.Now if the blue states hold elections as is their right then how would Congress be seated? Could the blue representatives be seated? Now the red states don't hold elections and their representatives terms has ended. I believe since their terms have ended that they could not be sworn in and seated. I asked the Brennan Center for some clarity.

Yes and there is a new company. The warning about them came from Atlanta. I couldn't find a way to share it. Since I am from Phoenix I just looked on their map for Phoenix and found that they have thousands of cameras around Phoenix.
First and foremost, thank you for this. I have to admit, I really enjoy your commentary—I'm almost always smiling and nodding my head. For many months I was constantly posting about Trump and his merry band of criminal misfits. Every post was urgent, maybe even an emergency. Then I suddenly realized, democracy will win. Like you say, it may take a civil war; but whatever it is we should see it for the good that it is. Because, if we don't, we're missing the best part.
I didn't watch his speech because, like you said, his lips are moving, so he's lying. It doesn't matter what he says. He's a necessary blip. A remainder to a very complex equation called democratic freedom. In fact, I like to think of him as a malignant tumor, and all the rest of us are the cure.
Yep ... 2 steps forward then 1.9 backward...so progress? The Internet has short-circuited our thought "process". The starry heavens above will restore our minds then we just need to re-establish the moral law within and we're tickety-boo, to paraphrase Kant.
I lasted about five minutes and that was on a site fact checking. I thought that I was going to throw up. I didn't go watch the sky. Instead I went out and talked to my big buddy, an old tree. I guess that with my heritage I have some Druid blood. Well except for the human sacrifice. With Trump maybe I will rethink that. Just joking. I wouldn't want the NSA picking that comment up. Am I concerned that Trump has the NSA listening? Yes. I go to a fair amount of protests and I have noticed something else, the amount of unoccupied Waymos that go by. Are our protest being recorded? Probably. DHS has bought some new facial recognition software.
omg, I also feel connected energy through trees, especially large ones. it's a similar energy, a knowing. I guess you could call it a life force. now, for the deathforce and facial recognition software, you know it! Palantir is evil, and doing just that. my next post is about Hegseth wanting to build surveillance systems...

There may have been many times in the past that life could have wiped, or been wiped,from our Earth in the past, but it's only been the last century that one man, or one bunch, could have performed a forced wiping, out of 4.54 billion Years. Our luck could be running out.
The probability is that life will have formed all over the universe, but if they're all as stupid as us, the chances of any of them existing at the same time as us, is pretty darn small.
However, I'd like to think that in the next few billion years, some passing alien will look down on us (in many senses) and learn from our stupidity.
However, they may be fully paid up members of Make Aliens Great Again and the Universe could be on for the last wipe.
